Michael L. Roberts, OD
Hello, my name is Dr. Roberts. I am an an
ocular disease residency trained optometrist.
Optometric residencies are thirteen month post
graduate training programs that are completed by
less than 10% of practicing optometrists. This
residency provides advanced training in the
diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and other
diseases effecting the retina and cornea. Dr.
Roberts' residency program was completed at the
Veterans Administration Hospital in
Fayetteville, AR along with Northeastern State
University in Tahlequah, OK from 2003 - 2004. In
addition, Dr. Roberts has extensive experience
with specialty contact lenses, pre and
post-operative LASIK care, management of
glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and co-management
of surgical patients.
I am am a native of
Little Rock AR, and earned my undergraduate
degree (B.S. of Biology) at the University of
Arkansas in Fayetteville from 1995 - 1999. I
received my Doctor of Optometry from Southern
College of Optometry in Memphis, TN from 1999 -
2003. While attending optometry school I was
inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International
Optometric Honor Society.
I am a member
of the American Optometric Association and the
Georgia Optometric Association and I enjoy
playing golf, spending time with my two nephews,
watching movies and cooking.
